  Casola

The neighbourhood of Casola is rich in culture and, above all, nature. A significant portion of the region belongs to the Apuane Park and is characterised by untouched countryside and green hills. Many paths cross this region, leading to little villages and ancient ruined castles; among these latter, the Malaspina castle and the Groppo San Pietro castle.

Codiponte
Codiponte hosts a parish founded in the VIII century, devoted to saints Cornelio and Cipriano. The building is composed of a church, a house and the remains of some medieval walls. The front of the church is in Romanesque stile; so is the interior, divided in three aisles sustained by round arches. The most important painting of the church is a triptych dated about 1440 with Holy Mary, Jesus Christ and saints Cornelio and Cipriano.

Offiano
The most important building in Offiano is the parish of San Pietro; erected between the XI and XII centuries, this church was then modified and partly rebuilt because of earthquakes and because of the unstable sedimentary soil on which it is built. The first restoration works date from XV century, but the church was drastically modified in XVIII century in baroque style: unfortunately, the columns'capitals were removed, the arches reshaped and the main structures of the church rebuilt according to the new style.
