Bagnone
Castle
On the highest point of the hill stands the most antique nucleus
of the town, dominated by a large stone cylindrical tower with brackets,
embrasures and piercings bordered by frames. This tower is all that
remains of the antique civic castle which today no longer exists
because absorded in constructions which make up the mansion of the
Counts Ruschi-Noceti.
The
residence was constructed in the 16th century but the original structure
was radically altered three centuries later by interventions that
brought to, above other things, a large colonnade. The antique hamlet
makes up the genuine heart of the town.
